Custom Milling & Consulting LLC, (CMC) leads the way in particle size reduction and dispersion for the wet milling/grinding industry all over the world. With a staff that has more than 25 years of experience in the industry CMC offers a turnkey solution for companies in industries like chemicals, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, coating, and paints.

Contract Processing for the paints industry is also referred to as toll processing, contract manufacturing, or custom manufacturing.

Contract processing is a service that companies utilize for the production of their product; a company like CMC and the manufacture agree upon a contract that lays out the terms, agreement and services provided.

CMC offers companies the ability to increase production while keeping the costs down by providing services from start to finish. Our 36,000 sq. ft. facility is equipped with machinery that includes batch mills, horizontal media mills, planetary mixers, and in-line rotor stators. We offer the abilities to manufacture the product, procurement of raw materials, inventory management, documentation of the process, packaging and labeling in your company specified containers, and shipment to the end user.

Companies look to contract processing for many reasons, a key reason is they do not have the space to install and set up their own production area.

The benefits are not limited to just one, there are several more;

  • Keep costs down
  • Minimize the need to train and staff employees to run new machinery
  • Make adjustments in the production levels
  • Quick turnaround time from placing the order to end product
  • No need to additional permits or certifications
  • Reduce your risk and liability
  • Experienced technicians trained to handle hazardous material
  • Full documentation of the entire process for your ISO requirement
  • No additional equipment required
  • Flexibility in production levels

Prior to full scale production CMC offers their lab testing facilities to potential and current customers. You can send the materials to the lab and have a trained technician duplicate the process and send you the analytical reports or visit and check out the process in person. If you are running into formulation barriers our on staff chemist will help troubleshoot the issue.

When you company takes production and moves it in-house CMC also manufactures the equipment used in the toll processing services. Our line of machinery includes horizontal media mills, batch mills, planetary mixers and in-line rotor stators.
