Established in 2002 by Carl Yerger and Joe Zidik, Custom Milling & Consulting, Inc. offers Custom Materials Processing and Toll Processing Services by way of media mill technology in the paints, coatings, inks and specialty chemical industries. CMC helps companies bridge the gap between laboratory development, small production requirements and full scale manufacturing.
Because we offer custom processing & toll milling services, CMC understands the various process limitations and challenges customers typically face in their own manufacturing facilities. As a result, CMC established its equipment division in 2004 manufacturing a complete line of media mills (Supermill PLUS) and batch mills (basket mills). These machines are utilized daily in our toll milling division to produce products used in a wide variety of industries. The CMC toll milling division provides custom processing of batch sizes from 1-1,500 gallons. Innovations such as the Fluidizer Milling Disc and Screen Separation devices, with the ability to handle .3mm and finer beads, have been developed through this division. Our custom processing and equipment divisions can accommodate product development with pilot, small batch to large scale production and in-house equipment, providing a seamless transition for a customer’s changing business needs.
CMC Contract Milling & Equipment Division Growth
In 2010, CMC completed construction on our new Technology Center, which offers lab and pilot facilities for all CMC product offerings. We have expanded our equipment line to also include planetary mixers and three roll mills and continue to enter into new product markets with a growing global presence. CMC is recognized as leading supplier of media mills, grinding mills and basket mills and innovator of dispersion technology offered by our equipment manufacturing and custom processing divisions.
